The steps
To add or subtract three or more fractions, you find one common denominator that works for all of them, rewrite each fraction over it, then combine the numerators and simplify. To multiply several fractions, multiply all the numerators together and all the denominators together, then simplify.
Use the buttons to add or remove fractions, and switch between adding, subtracting and multiplying.

Frequently asked
How do you add three or more fractions?
Find a common denominator that all of them share, rewrite each fraction over it, add the numerators, and simplify. This calculator finds the common denominator for you and shows each step.
How many fractions can I add at once?
Up to nine. Use the 'Add a fraction' button to add more inputs, and 'Fewer' to remove them.
Can I mix operations, like 1/2 + 1/4 × 1/3?
Not yet — this tool applies one operation (adding, subtracting or multiplying) across all the fractions at once. For a single pair with one operation, use the main calculators.
Does it work for multiplying several fractions?
Yes. Switch to Multiply and it multiplies all the numerators and all the denominators, then simplifies.
