Three ways to write the same value
1/2, 0.5 and 50% all mean exactly the same amount. A fraction shows it as parts of a whole, a decimal shows it using place value, and a percent shows it out of 100.
Fraction to decimal
Divide the numerator by the denominator. 3/4 = 3 ÷ 4 = 0.75.
Decimal to percent
Multiply the decimal by 100 and add a percent sign. 0.75 x 100 = 75%.
Percent to fraction
Write the percent over 100 and simplify. 75% = 75/100 = 3/4.
